If a student arrives late or is doing something against your expectations/procedures, you simply tell them to "go get a pink slip" from a designated space in the room. They fill it out, sign it and you collect it later for documentation. Sometimes just the slip itself is enough to curb unwanted behavior, and no further action is required on the teacher's part. But if a student receives more than two slips in a period, the student or teacher calls home and the student schedules a detention with the teacher. Receiving three or more slips results in an office referral.
