PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This activity uses the "How-to" poem format as a discipline writing resources. This is best used when a student has just done something to warrant detention or being sent out of the room to cool off. This can be given in the moment, as an additional homework assignment, or while a student is serving detention.
The beauty of this writing technique is that students are allowed to express what they think you did wrong while also assessing their own behavior.
When used properly, it can be a very enlightening tool for teacher and student. You, as the teacher, can see what was bothering the student. They, as the student, can hopefully get an understanding of why they were at fault.
