Discover Canada: Graphic Organizer Research Activity Worksheets

In this activity students research Canada (you can choose to use the internet or conduct research using library or textbook resources) and fill out a graphic organizer for each of the provinces and territories. Students discover information about the provincial/territorial flag, flower, capital city, population, natural features, and fun facts. You can choose to bind the sheets into a booklet or use them individually. They act as great jumping off points for further research assignments.

I have also included a postcard template in this package. As students complete each worksheet have them draw and write a postcard from that location. This could be used either to distill factual information or as a creative writing exercise.
