Students assume to role of the owner of a button factory who needs to calculate cost per unit (button) before determining how much to charge for each button. This lesson challenges students to account for overhead costs including rent and payroll. It also challenges students to figure out how to maintain a competitive edge when a new button factory opens nearby. Includes a handout and answer key.
