These learning stations are designed to take students through the process that is necessary to understand theme in fiction. In the works they read, there is rarely a clearly stated "moral at the end of the story". Instead, there are steps that must be followed so students can discover the author's message. These learning stations take students through these steps, and then ask them to put the puzzle pieces together to figure out the author's message.
In this file you will find station titles and task cards in both colour and black and white. There are also editable cards so you can add to or modify the questions.
You can read about how I used these stations in my high school English class HERE

♥ This is brilliant! My students struggled this year to write about theme and I used this for To Kill A Mockingbird and it really helped them focus on the theme. Great resource.
♥ Thank you so much for this activity; the results have blown me away. Even my lower-performing English 11 classes have knocked this out of the park!
