This is a fantastic, interactive lesson on the American political spectrum and helping your students to identify their personal political ideology.

Included is a worksheet to help students understand their political roots through questions on events they remember, their family, experiences, and influences that can help guide a class discussion on where our beliefs come from.

Next is a 34-question quiz of major political issues to help students determine where on the political spectrum they would fall. Students label if they support each one and an included key allows you to review as they move right or left on the political spectrum. Finally, an essay topic is included for students to explain their personal political ideology.

The lesson includes simple, step-by-step procedures for using each resource and guiding questions to lead class discussions. This is excellent for a Government or Civics class, especially prior to any election period!
