Product Description
A fun and engaging activity that introduces students to the social science of anthropology. It could also be used to teach about archaeology. In groups, students have to examine an artifact and infer information about the society from which it came.

This lesson plan contains specific instructions for the teacher and a worksheet for students to record their answers. The lesson was originally created for a grade 11 class in Ontario called Introduction to Anthropology, Psychology, and Sociology (HSP3M), but has been used in middle school (grade 7 and 8) classes with success.
