My classrooms use Discovery Education's Science Techbook as one of our curriculum resources. I have found it to be necessary to incorporate guided notes throughout, or following, each lesson in order for students to fully comprehend and be attentive to the details.

This particular set of guided notes correlates with "Biology-for Use with NGSS" Unit 2 Concept 2.1 Photosynthesis.

The steps of photosynthesis are summarized for general biology students. Specific details have been omitted.

NGSSHS-LS1-5
Use a model to illustrate how photosynthesis transforms light energy into stored chemical energy. Emphasis is on illustrating inputs and outputs of matter and the transfer and transformation of energy in photosynthesis by plants and other photosynthesizing organisms. Examples of models could include diagrams, chemical equations, and conceptual models. Assessment does not include specific biochemical steps.
