What educators are saying

This really helped break down skills and great for data collection and helping to write future IEP goals.
I use Discrete Trial Training in my classroom and this gives me lots more options but it also uses the STAR items! Plus provides me with predone data sheets

Are you looking for materials to help implement discrete trial training in your classroom? This set is designed to include all the materials needed to teach common learning readiness skills using discrete trial training (DTT). These activities can be used as ABA therapy activities and discrete trials.

Learning Readiness Skills are the earliest skills students need to learn and include following 1-step directions, simple motor imitation with and without objects, and simple matching of objects and pictures. I have included receptive and expressive ID of the basic vocabulary as an extension of the simple matching skills.

This learning readiness kit includes the following:

Data Sheets, Instructional Programs, Pictures and Probe Material for Teaching:

  • Motor Imitation with Objects
  • Motor Imitation (without objects)
  • Matching Object to Object for 6 Objects
  • Matching Picture to Picture for 6 Pictures
  • Matching Object to Pictures for 6 Objects
  • Following 1-step Directions (9 Directions)
  • Basic Receptive ID of Objects
  • Basic Expressive ID of Objects
  • Basic Receptive ID of Pictures
  • Basic Expressive ID of Pictures

** Please note: Objects are not included in this packet. You will need to have the following objects to complete some of the ABA therapy activities and programs: 2 blocks, 2 toy cars, 2 shoes, 2 bowls, 2 cups, 2 spoons, shaker (Maraca, tambourine), hat, small ball, plastic container or can, comb, and drum.

❤️These ABA therapy activities will help you run smooth discrete trials in your classroom. Your students will flourish as they learn these skills.

Students with autism benefit from discrete trial training, but although this type of instruction is pretty routine, handing it off to paraprofessional staff can be difficult to assure it's being implemented with fidelity.  This toolkit provides easy data collection and presentation materials that allows staff to present materials the same way each time to assure that students are receiving consistent instruction.

This discrete trial training setup is specifically designed to assure that materials are presented in a consistent manner to the student to avoid errors being made because of the order the materials were presented, where the materials were placed or how they were constructed.

To do this, the materials are simple and move from less distracters within them to more distracters (i.e., circles without borders to squares with black borders to stars and crayons that are completely the identified color but have different shadings).

NO PRINT OPTION: Finally the arrays can be used on a tablet or computer so that they don’t have to be printed.
