Discriminant Find and Drag is a sorting activity. Students find the discriminant in each of 10 quadratic equations. They identify the kind of roots in each equation based on the discriminant. Equations are sorted in one of FOUR columns:
1. Roots are Real & Rational
2. Roots are Real & Irrational
3. One Real “Double” Root
4. Two Complex Roots
