In this .zip folder, you will find two Discussion Accountability/Socratic Seminar track sheets. Students use these handouts to hold each other accountable during classroom discussions and/or socratic seminars.
1. Students write the names of everyone in the circle.
2. Each time someone in the circle contributes to the discussion, all students check off his or her name. Once a student has participated 5 times, that's it! This helps students avoid dominating the discussion and creates opportunities for all students to participate.
3. Students use the center of the handout to take notes during the discussion.
The documents inside the .zip folder are PDFs in order to retain formatting. One document is for small classes. The other document is for larger classes. The only difference is the number of spaces allotted for each participant.
