Objectives: Students will be able to showcase the depth of their reading by posing higher-order thinking questions, generating responses, and demonstrating the standards of conversational etiquette. Students will compose a clearly-worded question that requires respondents to analyze, synthesize, evaluate, or create; and compose a clearly-worded question that points to a particular portion of the text.
Speed Dating (Optional Activator): Students rotate through a cycle of brief face-to-face conversations with their peers. Conversations should focus on takeaways from reading. During formalized discussions, students may refer to these conversations and ideas.
