Product Description
This alphabetized set of Quotation Discussion Cards is designed to be used in an upper elementary class morning meeting or group discussion. Each quote is expanded upon with a short biography of the person quoted, vocabulary words, and questions for your students to discuss.

I recommend cutting apart each quote and its accompanying discussion questions and mounting the quote to the front of a piece of scrapbook paper, mounting the discussion questions on the back, and then laminating each complete card. The black “Quotes for Discussion” sheet on pg 3 is provided to label the folder or other container you choose for storing the project.

Choose discussion cards based on your class’ current needs. There are 41 cards – one for each week of school plus 5 additional cards. They can be used in any order depending on what your class needs.

Use the cards for response journals, vocabulary notebooks, or class discussions. You’ll be surprised by your students’ wisdom and insight. You may find that they’re more philosophical than you thought!
