Product Description
This lesson is to help students understand the plot and characters in Chapters 7 and 8 of Mark Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. It should help students understand exactly how Huck escaped from Pap and covered his tracks. It also addresses the way that Twain portrays the character of Jim, and raises the question of whether or not the portrayal of Jim is a racist stereotype, or if Jim is just 'playing the fool' and is (as Twain envisions his character) much smarter than he makes himself out to be.
