This fun set includes a rhythmic chant about Thanksgiving dinner, 'plates' with rhythm notation, Thanksgiving food word strips, and 1.5 pages of teaching suggestions. Use the plates and word strips for exploring word rhythms and composing new verses to the chant.
I have included two rhythm sets: (1) two-beat rhythms (using quarter and eighth note combinations) for young students and (2) one-beat rhythms for older students (includes eighth and sixteenth note combinations). Printables for the activities are black and white for economic printing. Associated/ matching words are at the bottom of each rhythm/plate, which simplifies preparation. You may omit any rhythms/words your students are not ready for and still create an effective lesson.
Thank you for your interest and support. Happy Thanksgiving!
