Thank you for the Tsum Tsum Stacking Division Puzzles. This activity is a fun and engaging way to practice division fact fluency.
Included in this packet you will find:
- 24 stacking tsum tsum puzzles, each with four pieces
- Answer sheet
- Activity instructions
Each tsum tsum puzzle contains four pieces, each with the same tsum tsum character. However, you will notice that each piece contains a different division problem. Students must decide what the quotient is for each problem. Then, the fun really begins!
The puzzle piece which represents the largest quotient will go on the bottom. The next largest quotient is stacked up next, all the way up to the smallest quotient on top. It is fun to note that "tsum tsum" means "stack stack", in Japanese!
The answer key provided shows the tsum tsum stacked this way, with the largest quotient on bottom and the smallest one on top. However, you are free to use the puzzle pieces any way you'd like! Mix and match the characters from different movies. Start with the smallest quotient on bottom instead of the largest. There are many possibilities.
To prepare the puzzles for use, you'll need to cut around each tsum tsum character. I don't cut right up to the picture. I leave a thin white line surrounding it. The results look great and it's quicker to execute.
Since each piece of the puzzle will be handled frequently, I recommend printing on cardstock for added durability. Laminating each piece would also be a great idea. The pieces easily fit into a plastic baggie or envelope for storage.
These puzzles are sure to be a huge hit in your classroom. They're a fun and engaging tool that can really help your students to master their division facts. These puzzles work well during math centers and are also great to use with students who finish early. They also make great little gifts to send home with your students.
Thank you again for your purchase of the T sum Tsum Stacking Division Puzzles. I hope that you love it as much as I do.
