In this interactive lab students will have to design, build and test their own paper airplanes. Once they have all created their own unique paper airplane they will test them while recording specific physics concepts like time, displacement and the planes overall velocity.
My students have always loved this lab because its gives them the creativity to make a plane however they would like and then compete with their classmates as they try to achieve the largest displacement and plane velocity.
This lab report provides you with everything you need to get them started and working. All you will need is to provide the students with blank printer paper for them to build their planes, measuring tools, stop watches and an long enough area to test fly the planes.
