What educators are saying

This was a fun way to wrap up our 13 colonies unit. It helped the students better understand the topic.
I used this product during hybrid learning. My students came to school two days per week and did remote learning three days per week. The students and I enjoyed using this resource.

Description

Have your class research The Original 13 Colonies of America and show what they know with this mini flipbook report/

As an introductory or culminating project, this is a great way for the student to research multiple sources, synthesize the information and pull out the key details. Students love researching and it is a great way for them to review various sources, draw conclusions and practice summarizing. This can be used as a whole group, partner or individual assignment. The links I provided can either be added to Google Classroom or shared with the students to help them as they research.

The flip book covers the following topics:
Southern
New England
Middle Colonies

A map of each group
It asks them to site the date founded, the founder/s as well as the reason why the settlers went to that location.
The common jobs and resources for each of the settlements
Religious practices at each settlement

I provided 6 links- read as a class or add the links to Google Classroom if you are 1:1.

Also included are Bulletin Board letters to make a bulletin board to hang these beauties.
