Learning Objective

Students will learn to identify letters as well as practice identifying pictures that start with each letter.

Description

These 5 centers will help you reinforce letters, practice skills and generalize across activities. They are perfect for literacy centers, guided reading and task boxes. You can even sneak in sorting, visual discrimination and fine motor skills!

Included:

Letter circle cards: Students identify the picture that starts with the given letter from a field of 4 pictures.

Picture square cards: Students identify the letter that goes with the picture from a field of 3 letters. Example: when given a picture of an alligator and letters A, D, F, the student will choose the letter A.

Letter matching cards: Students have to choose the correct lower case letter (from a field of 3) that matches the given uppercase letter.

Picture sorting strips: Students sort pictures onto the correct letter strips. There are 3 pictures for each letter.

Letter find tasks: There are 2 levels of letter finding tasks. In the first level, students find the specified letter a total of six times (3 lowercase and 3 uppercase). In this level, the letters are larger and the field is neater. In level 2, students find the specified letter a total of 7 times. The print is smaller and it is a field of 18.
