Description

This digital end of the school year writing activity has students write about their top five memories from the previous year. It will work perfectly with Google Drive! Students have a unique audience though; they are writing to themselves in ten years. As a closing activity, students will create a final "what we will miss about you" for their classmates.

This bundle includes:

✅ A list of common core standards addressed in the lesson.

✅ A lesson plan that walks you through the process.

✅ An assignment sheet for students (editable).

✅ A grading rubric.

You will also receive Google Drive links with three activities:

Activity One

✔ The writing process for students.

✔ Brainstorming sheets to get students writing.

✔ A student-led editing sheet (page one is shown in the preview).

Activity Two

✔ FOUR cover sheets and note sheets for students' final drafts. Students will have a digital copy of their finished product. You may also print out the pages.

Link Three

✔ Six digital frames are included to encourage emotional learning. Students will upload a picture, and their classmates will write "what we will miss about you" on the frame. It's a perfect way to end the year, and students will have meaningful memories for life.

This end of the year writing assignment is a wonderful way to review the writing process, and it has tools to address the process. I use this to wrap up the end of the year because narratives are a fun way to reflect and share.

UPDATED MAY 2020! The covers are current to reflect the 2019-2020 school year.

This purchase includes everything I use when teaching the lesson. You will be able to share the links with students, no prep for the end of the school year. If you are not a 1:1 school, you will be able to print the activities.
