    Reading Strategies for Parents Handouts: Guided Rd. Levels A-P {Remote Learning}

    This packet includes a series of Parent Handouts explaining how to best support a child's literacy development from Guided Reading Levels A through P.

    This resource was completely updated on 1/28/2020. The information in these handouts is ideal to share with parents during school closures.

    Upon request, the download is now an Editable PowerPoint file. So, these can easily be edited for use with DRA Levels or any other reading system your school uses.

    If you purchase this resource and prefer a PDF version (which is not editable), just email me at Annegardner4@gmail.com and I will be happy to send that right out to you.

    This resource now features a Parent Letter with Information Regarding Guided Reading Levels. In this handout, reading levels are presented as a tool to help teachers and parents select books that a reader is likely to experience success with at his/her current stage of development.

    This handout stresses that reading levels do not define readers, and clarifies why it is in a child's best interest to read within a range of levels.

    Perfect to send home as students progress throughout the year!
