Description

This no-prep distance learning Google slideshow has everything your students need to practice identifying text structures in an informational text. They will use key words and graphic organizers to identify chronology, compare/contrast, cause/effect, and problem/solution text structures.

Assign the slideshow to your students at the beginning of the week. There are activities for Monday through Friday.

  • For the first 3 days, the students will watch a video or do an activity to practice the strategy. Then, they will read independently and apply the strategy. If students don’t have a lot of books at home, they can read on Epic, Rivet, or another website that has books online.

  • On Day 4, the students will listen to a book and answer questions to apply the week’s standard.

  • On Day 5, the students will complete an assessment to check for mastery of the standard.
