Distance Learning: Writing Expectations Presentation and Graphic Organizers

This writing Powerpoint has over fifty slides to present writing expectations, guidelines, and directions for high school students. This is an editable Powerpoint; please edit the language or slides to differentiate for each class. Share it with students in person, via email, or on Google Classroom. Four graphic organizers are included (in PDF form and with a digital link for online sharing).

Included in this writing Powerpoint:
→ Expectations for revising and editing papers, peer work, and applying teacher comments.
→ Specific paper problems such as wordiness, incomplete thoughts, cliches, etc.

I never teach this writing Powerpoint in one class period. I often use it to set expectations and then use parts of it as we write our papers. It covers everything I commonly say as I teach high school writing. I have also used this Powerpoint with homebound students because it contains so much information.

Included are teacher suggestions (in the speaker notes). I left this Powerpoint editable because I know teachers use different terms when covering writing.
