PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In this lesson:

Procedure:

Students work with partner to record times that each move across a fixed distance using varying forms of locomotion-walk, run, jump, skip,etc.

Students use a proportion to compute the unit rate of moving in such a manner over a single unit of time.

Students then are asked to use another proportion to determine how long it would take them to go around the world using said form of locomotion.
