This quick E-Learning activity is a self-grading quiz that has feedback based on the choice a student selected. Includes a fun cartoon explainer video at the end for kids who struggle with the concept! Hotspots make it so that the questions are not multiple-choice, and expand the area to the entire graph. If a student chooses a wrong answer, he or she is given corrective feedback and an associated sound effect. The student is guided through constant speeds, stationary, return to start, etc, and then given a final score with a chance to retry the quiz and show the teacher the results. Since there is corrective feedback, the activity can be done prior to the lesson starting or after the unit is already taught.
Use it multiple times during your unit. Use it as a whole-group projector activity (with our without a SmartBoard), use it in the lab, or use it on the computers in your classroom, even those old machines that barely work and have no internet connection.
Extract the zip file (can be used on PC or Mac). On a PC, you can just right-click the file and click extract and extract it to your desktop. A second folder opens with the same name but it isn't zipped up anymore. Open that file and click on the story.html file. If that doesn't work (because the computer is older and needs updates), try the story.swf or story-unsupported.html file). It will open the activity in any web browser and kids can just start (even if there is no internet!). Email us at support @ beyondtestprep dot com if you need help!
