Description

This lesson starts with finding distance and midpoint on a number line and then builds to finding distance and midpoint on a coordinate grid. An example shows how the distance formula on a coordinate grid was derived from Pythagorean Theorem. Students will need to cut out pages to put into their interactive notebook or create a digital lesson by using the digital activity button provided on this product page after you purchase this resource. The final worksheet is a make-believe situation where a map needs to be created to help the survival of a community from the Zombie Turtles. Finally, there is a short quiz with answer key.
