The distribution of wealth in the United States is more lopsided than many people realize. In this lesson, students will be asked to predict what they believe the distribution of wealth in the US looks like, say what they believe an ideal allocation would be, and then watch this this six-minute video
to see what it actually is in this country.

This lesson is versatile since it can be used to support many units. For example, I incorporate this product into my lesson on immigration during the Gilded Age
. It could just as easily be used to support units in economics, finance
, the industrial revolution, the advent of progressivism, socialism, communism, or any time class conflict enters your course’s narrative.
