Product Description
These distributive property cards help students see the relationship between the numbers and processes for going from one form of distributive property to another. However, instead of using numbers, symbols are used.

For example, different symbols would be used to represent numbers such as 20, 5, and 3. Using the symbols students could show:
20 (5+3)
(20x5) + (20x3)

Cards include:
8 different symbols
parentheses
multiplication (with x and dot)
addition
starter cards so students can build the expression and then show the other form
