Product Description
This Valentine's Day center is perfect for the month of February! Third grade students will enjoy this game that helps them practice breaking apart large multiplication equations using the distributive property. Students break the problems up into smaller, more friendly multiplication sentences that are easier to solve. Aligns with 3.OA.5 :)

Mason Jar Flowers (Properties)
Students lay out all of the mason jars on the floor which have a multiplication distributive property equation labeled on them. Students have to find the rose that matches each distributive equation when broken up into smaller equations. Finally, students write the answer to each equation on each flower too! I have also used this in my classroom as a partner matching activity. I give each student a rose or a mason jar and they have to find the partner that matches up with them!
