These problems really helped give my students a clearer understanding of the distributive property. They could even use a pictorial drawing to help them do the math because there was context around these problems. I also extended the questions by providing a value for the variables, and then asked students to plug in the value into the expression. I taught so many TEKS yesterday! Whew :)
