This was designed to be a scaffolded assignment for students to practice using the distributive property. The first few problems provide students with a way to break one factor apart, and a place to fill in the two products and then add them together. Then, students must decide how to break one of the factors apart themselves to solve. Finally, students must decide which factor to bring down, and which to break apart. This product also contains two story problems at the end where students must use the distributive property to solve.
