Final exam for Divergent by Veronica Roth - Aligned with the Common Core State Standards in Reading, Language, and Writing
This IS included in my Divergent Novel Unit - Common Core Aligned
This is a comprehensive 18-page exam for Divergent that assesses various reading, writing, and language usage skills such as:
-analysis of theme, plot, characters
-author's choices in text structure, point-of-view
-vocabulary in context
-analysis of tone, figurative language in context
-identifying and analyzing parallel plot structure
The test includes the following types of questions:
-16 matching (characters and factions)
-102 multiple choice (reading passages assessment, figurative language in context, reading comprehension, literary elements, etc.)
-18 fill-in-the-blank (vocabulary in context)
-6 short-answer essay (character and plot analysis
-2 extended-response essay (theme and conflict)
-ANSWER KEY includes six pages of sample essay responses
-Bonus: 24 additional questions for vocabulary differentiation and symbolism
Because of the length of the test, I included a paper-saver copy with student answer sheet so you do not have to make copies of the test for every single student.
For differentiation, I also included a copy of the exam in sections, so you can pick and choose which parts you want to assess. You can use some of the components for practice assessments and save others for the final exam.

*RECENTLY UPDATED* to include an alternative 53-question multiple choice comprehension and recall test. This can supplement the existing final or be used in place of it.
