Activity 1: Fact and Opinion cut, sort, paste about America (9 sentences). Students will read a sentence, decide if the sentence is a fact or opinion about America, and then paste into the correct category. On the back, they will write their own fact and opinion about America.

Activity 2: To understand diversity, students will pair up and discover how they are alike and how they are different. These observations will be recorded and then used to write a paragraph comparing and contrasting themself to their partner.
