This is an activity for a Literacy Station. The student will find a person (live, fictional, cartoon, etc.) in a magazine to compare and contrast himself. He will cut out and paste this person onto his paper. He will draw a small picture of himself opposite the cutout person. He will make a list of 5 ways he is different from his cutout person and 5 ways the cutout person is different from him. Then he will list 5 ways they are the same. On the reverse side of his work, he will write two sentences explaining why he and the cutout person are different and two sentences explaining why he and the cutout person are the same. Sample output is included.
