Diversity through Discovery—Building Bridges for 9th – 12th Graders. This is a 14-slide power-point presentation. The slides are embedded with age appropriate images and is an interactive, engaging, classroom training activity designed to help 9th – 12th Graders understand and appreciate diversity. The activity was created to be a fun event that solicits the students "points of views" on the subject of being different while fostering an understanding and respect for that difference. A list of essential questions is also provided as part of the slide presentation. The slides can be used individually, as a group, or in total as a year-long activity that compliments the ongoing diversity training initiatives presented by teachers throughout the school year to address specific social issues or as an ice breaker.
