Dividing Decimals Model Task Cards

Modeling decimal division is a new skill for students. These task cards are basic modeling of a 2 digit decimal divided by a whole number. Students will be able to see a pattern to help them understand and apply what they know about the base 10 system.

This set has 20 cards with models of decimal division. The students will write the equation that matches the card.

Ways to differentiate:

• Level 1: Write the equation
• Level 2: Write the equation and explain what would happen if the dividend was 10 times greater.
• Level 3: Write an equation and a word problem. Solve
