Skills & Topics Covered:
Per the standard, students are required to represent and solve for quotients of decimals to the hundredths using objects (represented with base ten blocks in this activity) and pictorial models, including area models. Each representation includes a story problem, number sentence, area model, and base ten representation.
• Run on cardstock and laminate for repeated use
• Cut card sets and mix
• Allow students to match the different representations and then solve using the different representations provided
Extension: Remove story problems from the card set. Allow students to create their own story problems for the representations.
