This is the second mystery in a set designed to help students practice simplifying expressions with exponents. In this activity, students will practice multiplying exponential terms, raising a power to a power and dividing exponential terms. This activity can be used as part of the mystery set or as a stand-alone activity.
Students will simplify each exponential expression and will write their answers using only positive exponents. Then they will use the key on the right side of the page to find the letter that corresponds to their answer. Students will fill this letter in on the blank that corresponds to the question number at the bottom of the page.
When they have completed all 10 questions, students will discover Lyle’s super power.
