A self-checking partner activity to practice dividing fractions and mixed numbers. Included are two different game boards with 16 problems on each game board and a recording page.
Students will need to decide who will be “X” and who will be “O”. They will then each pick any problem to work out on their recording page. They will want to put and “X” or an “O” through the problem they choose so that nobody chooses that problem again. Students will find their answer on the board and mark it with either an “X” or an “O”. If they don’t find their answer they need to fix their problem. Once both students have completed one problem, then they can both choose another problem and continue on. I don’t let students work ahead. If they finish their problem before their partner, I tell them they can help coach their partner if they are stuck. The first person to get 4 in a row wins.
