I use these task cards as a station activity to allow my students the
Opportunity to work with division in a problem solving situation.
I have the students read the problems and match the problems with the correct strip diagram card. You can have your students use the free SEESAW app to take a picture of the completed sets and send it to you. ( I love this app and so do my students...this is just another option not a necessity.)
Have the students solve the problem task cards using the standard algorithm or an area model.
Included in this set:
10 task cards
10 strip diagrams
Student Brain Page
TEKS Supported by this activity include:
4.4(E) represent the quotient of up to a four-digit whole number divided by a one-digit whole number using arrays, area models, or equations
4.4(F) use strategies and algorithms, including the standard algorithm, to divide up to a four-digit dividend by a one-digit divisor
4.4(H) solve with fluency one- and two-step problems involving multiplication and division, including interpreting remainder
