Based on Common Core math standard MCC6.NS.2, this PowerPoint presentation shows students how to model dividing multi-digit numbers. The presentation may be used for whole class instruction or for individuals who need more understanding or have missed a lesson. Three different examples are given to show various situations that may come up in the modeling. Students can watch the presentation and then practice or try the examples given in the presentation as they go along. The pace of the PowerPoint depends on how much interaction you will have with the students while presenting (estimation: 20-30 minutes). I recommend having a worksheet available for the students to use to try problems on their own.
