These task cards can be used on a computer that has PowerPoint installed OR a device that is connected to the internet and has access to Google Slides.

These 18 task cards will help your students review key algebraic concepts.

These task cards are a great way to challenge your Algebra students and assess their proficiency in dividing by a monomial, long division and synthetic division. The last five problems students must decide which method they will use to divide. The answers are included at the end. This frees up more of the teacher’s time to walk around and help those students who need more help.

Common Core Standards:

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.HSA.APR.D.6
Rewrite simple rational expressions in different forms; write a(x)/b(x) in the form q(x) +r(x)/b(x), where a(x), b(x), q(x), and r(x) are polynomials with the degree of r(x) less than the degree of b(x), using inspection, long division, or, for the more complicated examples, a computer algebra system.

Instructions:

1. Upload the Task Cards to your Google Drive. (BOTH teacher and students need Google accounts. These are FREE.)

2. Open the Task Cards in Google Slides

3. Give each student a copy of the Dividing Polynomials Task Cards Answer Sheet
