This PDF introduces dividing whole numbers by fractions using both a visual and a mathematical approach.
It will help students to see how to sketch a visual model to find their quotient and verify that model with the algorithm for dividing fractions.
The PDF is designed to be used to introduce the topic or at the end of a unit to summarize the concepts. Ideally, the teacher can present the PDF one page at a time to display to the students and they can take notes, have a class discussion, or both. Pages can be printed for students to put into interactive notebooks as well.
Additionally, this file can be uploaded to Google Classroom as a Google Slides document and viewed on "Present" mode if you would like students to use this individually or even at home for front-loading or summarizing a lesson.
The 38 pages are designed to present the information a bit at a time. They are not 38 unique pages, but rather add information a piece at a time so that teachers can present the information without overwhelming the students with too much, too quickly.
