Product Description
Skills/Concepts:
Exponents (100, 101, 102, 103)
Dividing by powers of ten (1, 10, 100, 1000)

Included in this resource:

-3 sets of 4 puzzles with 1-2 pieces of the puzzle filled in; the other piece(s) is for the students to complete.
-2 sets of 4 puzzles with just the answer filled in. The students have to create their own division problem (the students in your class will likely come up with different division problems) – a great extension activity.
-2 sets of 4 puzzles with all pieces filled in. The students should cut out all the pieces and then match the division problems and answers to create a puzzle.

All puzzles are included as ¼ pages and ½ pages to best suit the needs of your students.

Suggested Uses:
I have used these puzzles in different ways in my classroom:
-Use it as a worksheet (have students fill in one page as a warm-up, independent practice, closing activity, or even a quick assessment)
-Use it as a puzzle – have the students fill it in, cut up the pieces on the page, then put it together (independently or with a partner)
-Use it at a math center for independent/partner practice
-If you want to challenge students, give them pages 8 and 9 (18-21) – they will create a division problem using a power of ten.
