Description

Introducing and reviewing divisibility rules is so engaging with this math wheel!

You can use the print or digital versions, or both, depending on student needs! Students can keep this graphic organizer all year as a resource/study tool.

This easy-to-use resource includes:

  • Print version of divisibility wheel
  • Copy of print version with notes completed
  • Colored sample of print wheel
  • Practice page and key
  • Link to interactive wheel and practice page in Google Slides (could be downloaded as a PPT if you aren't using Google Slides in the classroom but can access the link)
  • A PowerPoint file that has a blank wheel with background, so you can add text to make your own math wheels, if you’d like (for classroom use only - not commercial use).

Using this resource (print):

Use this math wheel to introduce or review divisibility rules. Students can keep this graphic organizer in their notebooks as a resource/study tool.

  • The sections of the wheel include the rules for 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 10 AND the meanings of divisible, prime, and composite.
  • Examples and suggested notes are in each section.
  • 8 practice problems are in the pattern around the circle, for guided or independent practice.
  • Students can color the background pattern for fun, as well as the headings and doodle arrows.

Digital Use:

What students will do:

Students will be able to design their own wheel, in some ways!

  • Students drag the large numbers to the 7 ‘open’ sections of the wheel.
  • Students type in the #s to complete each rule, where it says ‘enter #” and then drag the rule to the correct section.
  • Students drag the example numbers to the appropriate sections; these are color-coded by number
  • Students type additional notes or examples as needed.
