12 grouping cards
16 division cards
1 recording sheet
How to Use:
Student chooses a division card, such as 45 ÷ 9. The student then
selects 9 grouping cards.
After counting 45 counters (any small counters will do, but I use some flip-flop shaped erasers from Amazon!), the student sorts the counters into 9 groups, one at a time.
This workstation is meant to
reinforce the concept of division, not to “drill” the math facts. The
kinesthetic process is exactly what my students need to understand any new concept!
To really make this station super fun, try these
flip-flop shaped erasers from Amazon to use as counters!
