Knowing one's division facts is one thing; being able to apply them and recognize them is another thing altogether. It is an important and necessary skill for students to be able to solve story problems, especially story problems dealing with real-to-life situations. That is where these division fact story problems come in. All of the problems found in this set of task cards are based on real-life situations.
Task cards can be used for any number of activities. My students use them for math centers, but they can be used for games such as Scoot!, for math intervention activities, or for scavenger hunts by placing the questions around the classroom. The use of the cards is limited only by your creativity.
The QR code with each card adds an additional element of interactivity to the materials. Students will be excited to solve the problems so that they can then use an iPad or other device to scan the code to see if they were correct. Please make sure you have the appropriate application for the activity.
This activity is also available without the QR code - Division Story Problems - 24 Task Cards for Math Centers and Activities
An answer key and student activity sheet have been provided if you choose to use these cards for a formative or summative assessment.
This set of task cards is a perfect complement to the Division Facts Scavenger Hunt
