This game set offers two levels of play taking students from the concrete to the abstract and allowing for differentiated instruction. The first set of cards allows students to develop a conceptual understanding of division by using manipulative to create a model for each problem. Once students have this basic understanding they can move onto the second set of cards, which provides students division practice at the abstract level. Finally, you can assess students’ understanding by having them complete the recording sheet. Game cards could also be used as task cards in a math center along with the recording sheet. An answer key for students to self-check is included.
