Here's a great game for practicing long division! Instead of giving your students a worksheet of unending long division problems to solve, let them play a game that will review the same skills. Students "hop" along the board game, answering division problems and solving word problems. Students use a calculator to check the problems on the board (as they will vary, depending on what number they spin). An answer key is included for the word problem cards.
Another use for the word problem cards would be to use them as separate task cards.
The uses for this game are many and varied, allowing you to differentiate for the varying abilities with your students.
1. You can vary the range of the divisors for your problems by the use of different spinners - spinners vary from using single digits to multiples of ten to random 2 digit numbers.
2. You can also focus just on the long division algorithm by eliminating the word problem cards. If a student lands on a blank square, they get a free move.
Your purchase entitles you to use the game and make copies for your classroom. By purchasing this product, you agree to not share this product with other colleagues or upload to a shared server.
