PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This lesson is a great introduction to real-life remainders. How do I know when to ignore my remainder and when I need to add another group so my remainder doesn't get left behind!? This lesson helps give students concrete skills that will help them answer this question.

It requires just a basic knowledge of times tables. The goal is to introduce remainders with small numbers so students can use their common sense to reason what should be done with a remainder. That way, when the numbers grow larger they have prior knowledge on remainders.

Best of all this lesson requires literally NO-PREP! Just print and teach!

The lesson packet includes:
⇒Partner Problem Set
⇒Three Pages of Independent Practice
⇒Challenge Page for Early Finishers
⇒Exit Quiz
